Although plastic bottles are recyclable they take a while to be crushed and reprocessed. While this process is going on we will need more bottles to use... think about it. This means there will always be a demand for more plastic bottles even though we are recycling it. Plastic water bottles are mostly made of Polyethylene Terephthalate and this may cause harmful chemical waste not seen by man to be expelled into the air causing air pollution. And this is why I decided to make this simple pledge. I have been using the same Hot/Cold water bottle from Old Navy for while and it has proven my pledge to be a great one. I did not buy a plastic bottle of water for the last few weeks and I also encouraged my friend to join my pledge :) sorry for the speech.

Bottled water is evil! You know, I heard that they have to ship those bottles all the way to China to recycle them, not very energy-efficient. Also, it is a myth that you have to drink 8 glasses of water a day, not counting coffee and alcohol. All you're doing is washing vitamins out of your body.

Re-use your bottle and fill up with tap water...takes away the buying of water from the shops...using the water cooler at work : )

We can drink beverages canned in glass bottles or cans.

In case of drinking water, we can before leaving our home fill a glass bottle with water to drink from it.
